Joseph C. Gebauer

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Joseph C. Gebauer, born on June 11, 1968, in Philadelphia, passed away on May 1, 2026. Known for his generous spirit and captivating talent, Joseph was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His laughter, genuine love for his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, and incomparable sense of direction were facets of his personality that made him a joy to be around.

Joe's generous heart was evident not only in his love for his family but also in his many hobbies. Whether he was cheering on the Eagles, Phillies, or Flyers, fixing something around the house with his remarkable handyman skills, or simply making everyone around him roar with laughter, Joe was in his element. His love for his family was unparalleled, and he demonstrated that love in every aspect of his life. His commitment to being the best husband, father, brother, and friend was his truest accomplishment.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Dana Gebauer, and their three children, Ashley (Derek Oberlander), Zachary, and Aimee. He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren: Aubrey, Ava, Alivia, Aroura, Everleigh and Jaxon. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Holloran (Dee-Dee); sister, Eve Holloran (David O'Connor); Aunt and Uncle Penny and Gene Durrance; and his extended Frederick family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emily, Eve and Rudolf Gebauer, his brother, Rudolf, and his uncle, Harry Gebauer.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at John F. Fluehr & Sons, Inc, 3301 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19149, followed by a service at 11:30 am.
